Don't forget the gear swap and barbecue on June  6th.   The shop opens at 8 AM and the barbecue starts at noon. 1:48 pm est  Sunday, April 19, 2009 Dive season has arrived !  Jim Albert and friends went diving in Parker Pond.  He tells me it was 85 degrees top to bottom and filled with tropical fish this year !   We had a great trip to Cozumel and the video is at the store if you want to check it out.   We are having a barbecue on June 6th at the store with a divers flea market.  Bring your old equipment and price it to sell.  Keep 70% of the sale or apply 100% toward the purchase of new equipment.  All equipment is sold "as is" and is not guaranteed by Mainely Scuba.  The store will be open at 8 am and the barbecue will start around noon.   There are 2  local trips that are available to join.  We are headed to Gloucester Massachusetts the weekend of May 4th for the annual DUI drysuit demonstration.  For a nominal fee of $15 you can try their suit in the ocean !   We are headed down Friday night to make a weekend of it.   The second trip is to Acadia National Park on Memorial day weekend, Sunday the 26th leaving early in the morning.   Hope to see you at the store on June 6th !   Jim 5:32 pm est  Saturday, April 4, 2009 Mainely Scuba is open Saturdays starting April 1, 2009 Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM and by appointment         Come check out our new line of ZEAGLE products. 12:20 pm est

Equipment

Mainely SCUBA carries a large inventory of equipment from top quality distributors. If we don't have it in stock we will order it for you: Zeagle   Tusa      Dacor      Cressi-sub      Genesis      IST      Bare      Henderson    DUI For those of you who haven't been into the shop in the last few weeks we have just added a large Henderson (Neoprene) order. We have also added orders from Genesis, Princeton Tec, Tusa, Cressi Sub and Trident. We now carry SeaLife cameras, with 35 mm and digital models in stock.

Maintenance

It's that time of the year when divers should have all equipment serviced to be ready for the diving season. This should include tank hydros and VIP's.

Training

We will start a SCUBA class for four people and take up to eight in a class.  We also provide private lessons for individuals or couples.  We have classroom facilities in the shop and use the pool at the UMF Health and Fitness Center in Farmington.  Each class graduates with two fresh water dives in area lakes and two salt water dives from the coast of Maine. We train to the standards of Scuba Schools International.
